I Walked 10,000 Steps Every Day for 3 Weeks

In an effort to be more active + healthy, one day I woke up and decided I should start walking 10,000+ steps a day. You always hear it’s “the magic number” of daily steps to aim for but I never really knew why beyond the obvious: increased activity + exercise, more calories burned, etc. If you’re curious, it can also help to lower blood pressure, combat depression + anxiety, improve blood sugar and more.

A screenshot from my recent Fitbit activity.

My goals are to be healthier, more active and to trim + tone things up! PS— I talk more on that in my End of Summer Health + Fitness Goals post here. Walking seemed like an obtainable goal, something more doable to me than “let’s go to the gym everyday” when I don’t even go to begin with. While in a perfect world I would love to do that too, something I’ve figured out this year is the power of starting small. It’s normal to want the “end result” but small, consistent action and building habits is how you get there.

Initially my goal was to walk 10K every day for a week. After completing that, I kept at it and yesterday marked my three week streak. Here’s how it's been going!

After consistently sticking with it, I can say that 10,000 steps a day is definitely a doable challenge. The average person walks roughly 5,000 steps per day so while it didn’t seem too difficult of a goal in the beginning, it has definitely been both a mental and physical test daily. Doing this challenge has made me realize I've been walking less during the day than I expected. I'm pretty active during the day but also spend a lot of time at my desk so most days I have 5,000-6,000 steps in when I leave work. Although I never wore my Fitbit much before doing this, I think it’s a safe assumption that on average I would probably have ended my day with around 7,000 steps or less.

What I also noticed was that challenging myself to start with a one week goal + wearing my Fitbit have been a huge part of my accountability. I know I’m physically capable of walking 10,000 steps, I just had to mentally prepare myself in the beginning. Wearing my Fitbit has also created a constant reminder throughout the day of my goal + helps me to keep tracking my progress! Because I know I have to get my steps in, I've noticed that I challenge myself to move more and do more tasks that require activity.

Since I leave work most days with the 5,000-6,000 steps, I've also had to add in a lot of walking late at night. This is where it can get challenging-- once it's dark out and I'm tired, the last thing I really want to do is walk around my neighborhood to get my steps in. I usually expect that I'll have to do it so I'm already mentally prepared for it, however it also pushes me to get as many steps in throughout the day as I can. I also try to keep my mindset on my goal + why I'm doing it. It's something I chose to do + only helps me so if I quit or skip, I'll be the one who is disappointed and missing out!

While it's been a challenge, I also feel extremely proud for accomplishing my goal and continuing on with it. I feel better about increasing my activity level but also more confident in following through and being disciplined. If you're wanting to walk 10,000 steps a day or increase your overall activity, I think making a step goal is a great way to go about it. Here are some tips that I've found to be a huge help to me!

  • A fitness tracker is an (obvious) must-have. I think it's super important to be able to track your starting point in the beginning (know how many steps you have been walking before making a goal) + being able to track your progress throughout the day
  • Start small! If you normally only walk 1,000 steps a day, then slowly build up to your ideal step goal. Because I already walked close to 7,000 steps per day, it was manageable for me to push myself to 10,000. If I normally walked a lot less than that, I would've likely started with a smaller goal of maybe 2,500 or 5,000 steps.
  • Wear comfy walking shoes + socks
  • Stay hydrated!
  • Walk early in the day or later at night when weather conditions are more ideal for walking
  • Pace yourself + try to get as many steps throughout the day as possible
I also forgot to mention that you'll likely feel the burn + some soreness! My legs + feet have definitely been feeling the aftermath of the increased activity. Hopefully over time that will turn into stronger, more toned muscles. Until then, my epsom salt is coming in handy!

Do you track your steps daily?

WHY YOU SHOULD TRY NEW THINGS

I've been a creature of habit for almost my entire life. We all think "oh I love having new experiences and trying new things" but do we really? I've come to realize that I walk different than I talk! Always going to the same places, ordering the same things, following the same routine. If you think about it- that's what adulthood is all about, right? You get up, get ready, go to work, eat dinner, go to bed and repeat. Sometimes, this is a great thing. We all need some structure and organization in our daily lives. Consistency and routine is important, it fosters discipline and gets things done. On the flip side, it can also become boring as hell if you're not careful!

First time trying an Aperol Spritz at Alleia in Chattanooga a few weekends ago!

As I brushed my teeth tonight, I was reflecting on my day which TBH was kind of shitty. It's just been one of those weeks where I'm feeling down and out. I kept thinking that I needed to do something to snap out of it-- something to feel better. What makes me feel better? Watching a movie I love, eating my favorite pizza, etc. Comforting habits. Then I thought-- well, sometimes new and exciting things help too. Things like going on a road trip or treating yourself to something you wouldn't normally buy. I realized my daily habits bring me comfort but trying new things brings excitement and makes me feel alive

I wouldn't have realized any of this if I hadn't actually started branching out from my same old same old. And before we jump the gun here, I'll be the first to admit that my version of "branching out" is wading through the kiddie pool with floaties on. Old habits die hard but the point is I jumped in the pool! Or maybe I was pushed ;) I also get by with a little help from JJ (my boyfriend). If he read this, he would call BS and say I never want to go anywhere new, LOL. While that's not entirely true, I'm more resistant when it comes to food. I'm picky AF and he is wide open. While I'm still traumatized from some of the restaurants we went to when we first started dating, I have to give him a lot of credit for getting me to try new places. The great thing is that you also get a better idea of what you actually like + don't. Some of those are places I never would have gone that we now love + frequent all the time. The irony of that isn't lost on me either! There is definitely a ying + yang relationship between the two and they balance each other out.

I think a lot of our resistance to trying and doing new things come from fear of the unknown or the outcome. I relate to that on another level with the food-- why chance not liking what I order when I know my go-to will be delicious? On the flip side, the feeling of discovering something new that you love is amazing!! It brings a fresh, new excitement to life that helps balance out the mundane of the day-to-day. It's really in the little things too. We recently took a weekend trip away to somewhere new which was amazing, however with busy schedules that's not something that we can do all the time. Finding variety in the normal, everyday things is a breath of fresh air and necessary to keeping things fun. I also learn more about myself so continuing to branch out is a must + I encourage you to do it too! It feels uncomfortable sometimes but I usually find I'm grateful for it later on.

What's something you've always wanted to try but haven't?

END OF SUMMER HEALTH + FITNESS GOALS

Has anyone actually lived their hot girl summer yet? Asking for a friend... LOL. 😏 Real talk - I'm definitely guilty of letting loose in the summer and all those extra snacks and margaritas add up. With fall approaching, it’s time to get it right and get it tight. I’m all about slimming down when I feel I need to, however I’m also constantly working on ways to be healthier beyond losing weight. I’ve started working on these for the past few weeks so y’all better watch out... fit girl fall is coming. Lolllll. Do you have any health or fitness goals right now? If you're also needing some motivation (I know I do), I hope this post will help inspire you to keep moving + make it happen!

END OF SUMMER HEALTH + FITNESS GOALS

+ 10K EVERY DAY

For the past two weeks, I've been walking at least 10,000 steps every day. My original goal was to just do it for a week but I haven't stopped. The main reasoning is to move and be more active, however burning a few extra calories is a nice added bonus! Wearing my Fitbit has kept me accountable 100%. Obviously it's impossible to accurately track your steps without a tracker, however it also serves as a constant reminder throughout the day. I'm always checking notifications or my step count which motivates me to keep moving to make it to my goal. I also know from past experience that if I forget to wear it, it's game over. Every night before bed I make sure to charge it + I set a reminder on my phone to put it back on once I wake up.

+ LOSE 15LBS

I haven't been very motivated by my "I need to start cutting back" mindset so I'm setting a specific goal to work towards. I don't get too caught up on my weight or needing to be a certain number on the scale, however I know I feel my most comfortable and confident when I'm about ten pounds lighter than my current weight. I'm going to break this down in chunks so my first goal is to try and get off the 6-7lbs I've gained this year and go from there. If you're interested in what helps me lose weight, check out How I Lost 30 LBS in this post

+ CUT OUT SUGAR

Hoping to kill two birds with one stone here. The only good thing about sugar is how it tastes. That's bad news for me because I have a HUGE sweet tooth. Cookies, candy, ice cream... you name it, I love it. While I know I can be really good with moderation, I'm confident that I still eat way more sugar than is healthy. It's hidden in a lot of foods that aren't obvious which makes it difficult to cut out 100%. My goal is to lower my intake of refined + processed sugar as much as I realistically can. Hoping to be healthier, lower any inflammation I might have + stay on track with my weight loss goals.

+ REST & RECOVER

One of my biggest challenges is getting enough rest + sleep at night. I've always been a night owl so I'm usually up late working, writing a blog post (spoiler alert-- it's 12:39am right now) or wasting time on Tik-Tok. Even when I'm tired, I fight with my body when I know I need to rest. I think a lot of it has to do with detoxing from the day-- it's my alone time to relax + decompress. I know the importance of sleep for my mental, physical and emotional well-being so I'm going to work on figuring it out. Send tips if you have them!!

Those are what I’m working on at the moment. I’m always challenging myself to do better when it comes to clean eating, health + fitness. I think it’s all about balance but working towards more consistent, lifestyle changes.

I love sharing my goals with you all! Should you click on or make a purchase through the links in this post, I'll earn some money to keep on shopping! Pretty cool, huh? :)

5 THINGS I USE EVERY DAY | SUMMER EDITION

Can you believe that fall is officially less than a month away now? I'm ready for better weather + spooky season ASAP. Nothing can top it but there's something to be said about the slower pace and IDGAF attitude of summer. It's the "calm before the storm" of chaos that the holiday season brings. I keep things very low maintenance but these five things I can’t live without. If you follow the blog, you’ll probably recognize some regulars here!

5 THINGS I USE EVERY DAY (SUMMER EDITION)

1. Rainbow Thin-Strap Leather Sandals

The best basic, everyday flip-flop. The leather is amazing quality, comfortable and works with most casual looks. At $50, you can’t beat them. I prefer the thin-strap but they also come in a thicker style in several colors.

2. Old Navy 7/8 Ankle Compression Leggings

I do everything in these leggings. They’re a compression fabric which is flexible and lightweight for working out or day to day wear. The 7/8 length is also the only way to go this time of year IMO. I don’t like thicker, bunchy fabric when it’s hot and these hit right at the ankle + are super comfy. Amazing for the price too— you can usually snag them on sale for around $20

3. Quay High Key Sunnies

Alright I think it might seriously be time to retire these because I wear them SO MUCH. They’re one of those things that you just grab and throw on because you don’t have to think about it, ya know? If you don’t own a pair of high keys, I’ll link them here for you. I have the mini size in the black fade. The style is a classic but the fade gives me major throwback vibes to the 70s which I love.

4. Fitbit Versa

This has quickly become a summertime staple for me. I’ve always had a love/hate with my Fitbit (long story for a different day) but I busted it out and have been using it to track my steps every day. I like the overall functions + connecting it to the app on my phone. Mine is the original Versa which I think is discontinued now but the Versa 2 looks just like it— I’ll link it here.

5. Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield w/ SPF 50+

Another forever fave— my favorite every day sunscreen. I recently shared this in My Go-to Products for Minimal Summer Makeup post so I won’t get too repetitive but I love. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a lightweight SPF for the face

What's one thing you can't go without every day?

WHAT I'VE BEEN WATCHING | AUGUST 2021

Last month I finished watching the rest of the The Karate Kid movies with my boyfriend but we're still working our way through The Sopranos. We're only on S1 so we have a long way to go, however I thought I'd update you with what else I've been watching this month. If you want to see What I Watched in July, I'll link the post here for you.

WHAT I'VE BEEN WATCHING

+ Twilight Series - Alright I knowwwwwww what you're thinking BUT like the rest of the world, I had to relive my high school years after Netflix dropped the entire series on us this summer. Despite cringing my way through Twilight, I persevered and will be starting Breaking Dawn: Part 2 tonight thankyouverymuch. To be fair- they've always been awkward as hell. We knew it then, we know it now. WE KNOW. Don't hate the players, hate the game! 🤓

+ Black Widow - If you're into superhero/Marvel/Avengers/DC Comics vibes, you'll love this one. My dad and I both enjoy them so we went to watch this one together on the big screen. TBH, I haven't kept up with all of the most recent Avengers movies so I might need to add that marathon to my list? I went into this one blindly so I had no idea what to expect besides it being about Scarlett Johansson's character. While her connection with the other Avengers and the previous films was mentioned, it mostly focuses on her pre-Avengers past, childhood + family connections. Scarlett always impresses + I thought she killed her role. I liked getting to know her character better + loved her sister! Hopefully she'll make an appearance in future films too.

+ Free Guy - Other than seeing a preview for this one awhile back, I also had no clue what to expect. All I remembered was Ryan Reynolds putting sunglasses on and entering some alternative reality video game. Honestly that feels like forever ago too?? Makes sense with all of the movie releases getting pushed back. That's pretty much what happens except it turns out his character lives within the video game. There's an interesting plot + good character development. This one also had some interesting twists but was fun, light-hearted and feel-good! While totally different, it reminded me of both Ready Player One and The Lego Movie. Loved the casting choices too!

The list is short + sweet today. I keep telling myself I'm going to start watching more shows + movies but I never get around to it. Since I'll be done with my Twilight marathon, what should I watch next? LMK what you've been streaming!

WHAT I WANT: FITSPO!

Today's #WhatIWant is all about fitness + athelisure wear. Lately I've been getting back into a routine of cutting back and being more active. My ultimate goal is to take better care of my body, be in great shape and look + feel my best. To keep myself motivated, I've decided to set fitness goals and reward myself once I meet them!

New boujee workout clothes was obviously the answer so I'm giving a whole new meaning to the word "fitspo." Which would you pick?

DUCK DONUTS REVIEW + TASTE TEST

On our way back from Chattanooga this weekend, we came across a Duck Donuts! I've seen them all over Tik-Tok so ya'll know my sugar addiction couldn’t resist trying them out. We ordered a dozen and taste tested them all!

Duck-Donuts-Review-The-Kristen-Diary-Blog

Honestly it was a dream come true getting to bite into ten different donuts all at once (two of the flavors we ordered two of). I had major sugar overload (that I paid for later) but it was totally worth it!

Trying-Duck-Donuts-The-Kristen-Diary-Blog

All of the donuts are made to order which is different + unique from any other donut shops I’ve been to. They have a ton of flavors combinations to choose from or you can create your own from the different glazes, toppings & drizzles. I was too overwhelmed with their choices to even think about making my own, lol. Here's what we picked:

DONUT FLAVORS

Coffee Cake, Strawberry Shortcake, Blueberry Crumble, French Toast, The Boardwalk x2 (oreo crumble, powder sugar + vanilla drizzle), Maple Bacon, Sunrise Lemon Icing w/ Raspberry Drizzle, Smore’s x2, The Flip-Flop (chocolate w/ vanilla drizzle) and Cinnamon Bun

The donuts are a vanilla cake base that have a sweet, crispy texture. They remind me of a blend between a funnel cake and a crueler. I love how they all turned out decorated + they were also served warm which is always a win.

Every single one was delish, however there were definitely some that stood out above the others. My boyfriend and I both agreed our top three favorites were the French Toast, Blueberry Crumble & The Boardwalk. To us those three had a little bit of something extra to them. I was blown away by the French Toast because it actually tasted identical to French toast- syrup flavor and all. The funny thing is that it wasn’t even one of the first ones we picked, I added it on to make twelve towards the end 🤪

Some flavors like the Cinnamon Bun and the Flip-Flop reminded me of classic donuts which were good, just not as unique or outstanding as the others. I love the classics, however I think the novelty here (at least for me) is ordering more specialty flavors. The Maple Bacon donut was also a first for both of us. It’s definitely an interesting one... I love bacon but I'm not sure I'm behind the hype on this one. I've always been curious on what one would taste like though so I'm glad we tried it!

Duck-Donuts-Review-The-Kristen-Diary-Blog

Overall, I loved trying them all and I think it's a very cool experience. If you’ve had Duck Donuts before, what’s your favorite one? I will definitely be going back the next time I'm near another one!

EXCITING WEEKEND PLANS | 8/13

Hello, weekend! It’s an exciting one over here because JJ and I are taking a WEEKEND TRIP to Chattanooga! When I tell you it’s been forever since I’ve taken any type of trip or had a vacation (even a mini one like this)- it’s been FOREVER. This was a totally spur of the moment, spontaneous decision we made yesterday which I can't wait for!

PS- still obsessed with this salad from SaladWorks! Totally unrelated to this post but is the only photo I took today 😬

I ran around all last night throwing together outfits, packing, etc. Anyone else prep and pack like you’re moving out?? We’ll only be gone for two nights, LOL. That threw out any chance of a normal blog post for today so a little chat + update it is. We’re leaving after work this evening so I’m going to do my best to share + update what we’re up to on IG stories. If you aren’t following me, you can find me @TheKristenDiary. I’m looking forward to lots of delicious food, time to relax + our hotel.

I’m also laughing because it was the first week I tried time blocking in my new planner (more on that in this post) but most days were a sh*t show and ended up nothing like I’d planned. If it ends with me getting a little R&R, I’m a-okay with that. I will say having things written down helps a lot. I’ve noticed that I still accomplished a lot of my to-dos for the week even if they were off schedule. There were several things this week that I didn’t do when I originally wanted to, but that I was reminded to tackle since they were in my planner.

Between work and everything else, I squeezed in an unexpected dentist appointment, laundry + sheet change 🔪, blog posts + my step goal. This week’s goal is to walk 10k steps or more every day which I’m on track for. It seems like there are always things that you don’t get done and a million more new ones that keep getting added to the list. The lesson for me on this one always seems to go back to making progress over perfection.

What are you up to this weekend? I'd love to know!

MY GO-TO PRODUCTS FOR MINIMAL SUMMER MAKEUP

A full face of makeup is the last thing on my mind when it's hot AF outside. Most days I go makeup-free, however it's always good to have a go-to minimal look for when you want a little extra something. Using these products, I can throw this look on in no time and run out the door. Quick, easy + fuss-free does it!

minimal-summer-makeup-products

MINIMAL SUMMER MAKEUP

+ Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield - We all know SPF is a skincare must have and this one is a total game changer for your face. I've tried countless facial sunscreens + products, most of which are too thick, have a white cast, are greasy or are made up of chemicals. You want to use a mineral-based, physical sunscreen that will physically block harmful rays versus a chemical sunscreen that is instead going to chemically absorb rays. The Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield is the best one I've found. It's made up of 12% zinc oxide (physical sunscreen), has SPF 50+ protection, is super bendable and has a subtle peach tint.

It's the perfect base for a minimal makeup look because it gives a very subtle glow to the skin + offers great protection from the sun. I also love that it has a thinner consistency that blends in well and leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized!

+ MAC Prep + Prime Highlighter - I have been sharing this MAC Prep + Prime Highlighter for years now.  I always purchase the shade "Radiant Rose" to use as an under eye brightener. It's sort of like a hassle-free concealer for me-- it brightens up the under eye area to combat dark circles and give a wide awake appearance. The coverage is great but lightweight + easily blends in with my fingers.

+ Velour Lashes Fluff'n 3-in-1 Brow Pencil - Cleaning up the brows just a little can do wonders for your face while still maintaining a minimal look. I like to lightly touch up + fill in around my brows with the Velour Fluff'n Brow Pencil. It has a pencil, spoolie + wax all in one to color and set everything. Super convenient and compact!

+ Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Mascara - A little bit of mascara is also essential. It's the easiest way to open up the eyes + makes a huge difference. Right now I've been loving the Benefit Roller Lash

+ Burt's Bees Lip Balm - My lips constantly feel dry so keeping them hydrated during the summer is a must. I always go for the best of the best- the Burt's Bees lip balm. You can't beat a classic, it works and still gives a little shine to the lips.

My go-to products for a quick, minimal makeup look for summer! The best part is you don't have to use any tools either so it's easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

I love sharing my favorite products with you all! Should you click on or make a purchase through the links in this post, I'll earn some money to keep on shopping! Pretty cool, huh? :)

WEEKLY TO-DO LIST | AUGUST 9 - 15

I originally planned to share my weekly view in the new planner I bought, however I'm still figuring out how I want to use + organize everything. One thing that I've always done that has been a big help is creating a to-do list of everything I need and want to accomplish for the week. It's been a little while since my last Weekly To-Do List post (you can see previous ones here + here) so I thought we'd kick this week off with one! If you've missed my previous ones, these are personal (non-work) related things that I want to get done. I like to keep the list relatively short and manageable and I typically only add in things I want to challenge/push myself to get done or things that are out of the ordinary.

WEEKLY TO-DO LIST

  • WALK 10,000 STEPS - I've been shooting to walk at least 10,000 steps each day. I have a love hate relationship with my Fitbit which means I usually forget to wear it + end up having no idea how many steps I've walked. I'm going to challenge myself to *fingers crossed* remember to wear it everyday and get to 10K.
  • CLEAN OUT CAR - This is at the top of the list this week because my car needs it SO BAD. It always takes me forever to thoroughly clean out + vacuum my car but I love it once it's done!
  • STORE RETURNS - It's rare that I have to return something so when I do, I always push it off. It's one of those things that's inconvenient even though it's easily done. I usually spend more time + energy thinking about how I need to return something (and worrying that I won't make the deadline!) than it actually takes to do it. I randomly have three different stores to return to so my plan is to knock them all out on my day off.
  • EPSOM SALT BATH - I love using epsom salts in the bath to detox + soak my muscles. This is another "once it awhile" thing I do but I think it would be a great habit to start doing weekly.
  • PLAN OUT NEXT WEEK - Is it overkill to plan out planning out? LOL. I'm super into my new planner + stickers (make sure you check out my haul here) so I'm making an effort to use everything and organize my weeks out.

If I can get all of these done on top of work + my weekly basics (laundry, blog posts, etc.) then it will be a productive week. What's at the top of your list this week?

MY FIRST EYEBROW THREADING EXPERIENCE

Today I had my first eyebrow threading experience. It's something I've wanted to try for years, I just never made an appointment to go. I use to have them waxed, however over the years I've gone a little more maintenance free and have just been tweezing them at home. I liked the appeal of threading because it seemed less abrasive on the skin compared to waxing. Before going, I also had my haircut for the first time in FOREVER. I didn't want to do anything crazy so I just cut off a few inches to clean up dead ends + added in some layers to frame around my face. I shared a photo on IG but I'll post one if you aren't following me! PS- you can find me @TheKristenDiary ;)

Alright back to the threading! If you aren't familiar with the process, cotton threads are twisted and used over/on the brows to pull out hairs. It gives a similar effect to having your brows waxed, however is said to be more precise and better for your skin.

I chose to go to a local eyebrow threading shop where I live that had great customer reviews online. I'm always leery when it comes to cosmetic + beauty procedures so definitely make sure you do your homework. If I had to summarize my experience, it was quick + efficient. Because it was my first time doing threading, the technician told me that I would have to hold the skin tight on my forehead and my eyelid while she was threading. I then sat down and she went to work!

The entire process took less than 10 minutes. Each brow only took a few minutes each + then she also went back and cleaned up the area with scissors and tweezers. I was surprised that it did hurt a little bit when she first started. For some reason I was under the impression that it was a pain-free process, however    I experienced some minor discomfort and pain. It wasn't anything crazy- after the first few times it didn't seem to hurt as bad either. Afterwards, she wiped around the area with some sort of liquid (Google says it was probably aloe vera gel) and sent me on my way.

I was honestly amazed at how quick + fast the process was. I was in and out in no time which I actually really appreciate. My past experiences with waxing were definitely longer. The price where I went was also extremely affordable, I only paid $10 + tip to get them done! Like with waxing, I did experience a little bit of redness around the area for awhile. I have sensitive skin so this is pretty common for me.

Here's a before + after comparison!
What do you think? I think she did an awesome job at thinning them out and adding more definition to my arch. I still wanted them to look like my brows and not be too thin which I think she nailed.

Have you tried eyebrow threading before?

NEW PLANNER HAUL | THE HAPPY PLANNER

I recently decided that I need a new planner to organize my sh*t and be more productive. Obviously I needed something cute to motivate me so I picked one out + grabbed some fun stickers. I quickly learned that planner world is a little overwhelming-- there are so many types of planners + accessories out there. I discovered The Happy Planner brand which has so many fun designs, however it was hard choosing! My main goal is to time block my day so I compared all of their different planner designs and opted for one with a vertical layout.

After deciding on the vertical layout, I decided to go for their classic size. I really liked the big size in the happy planners too, however I never found a pattern with the vertical layout that I loved. I don't typically go for a lot of color or floral, however I kept going back to the Spring Garden design. It has a pretty floral cover with coordinating monthly tabs. The inside layout with the minimalist design and nude, white + pink shades is what really sold me. I also love the rose gold accents!

Each month has a monthly overview + the vertical layout for each day. Since they also sell lots of the accessory packs, I'm going to try to add in some other sheets for my daily to-do lists, budgeting, etc.

I wanted something that is functional for my life but that also inspires me to use + plan out my weeks. I've seen a lot of fully decked out planner spreads (tons of stickers, washy tape, etc.) which I'm not sure is me, however I think getting creative with it will keep it fun. Aka, I had to have some stickers. They have SO many different packs-- pretty much anything and everything you could think of. I tried finding ones that matched the color palette of the inside + also worked with my life. So far I have the Good Habits book and the Wellness book. The colors on these are softer and align with a lot of my goals.

I'm excited to dig in + start prioritizing everything. If you use a planner, what all do you include or put into yours? LMK!

I love sharing hauls with you all! Should you click on or make a purchase through the links in this post, I'll earn some money to keep on shopping! Pretty cool, huh? :)
