HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Happy Halloween!! We got lucky with a Friday Halloween this year- it's always more fun having holidays on weekends. I hope you're having a spooky time full of fun and food. The snackies are always the best part IMO! I'm giving myself the rest of the weekend to put down some Reeses' and then we need to do a little sugar detox. I also think the universe is trying to give me a leg up because my Nothing Bundt Cakes already sold out of the Reese's Oreo Bundtlet... womp womp. I planned to do a review for you but we'll just have to catch it next time!

Not too much to chat about today, just wanted to say a quick hi and Happy Halloween :) Ya'll know Christmas is officially ON starting tomorrow so we've gotta soak up the last little bit of Hallow today! Practical Magic and the Sephora sale are calling my name, I'll chat with you again on Monday. P.S.-- if you're also shopping the sale, my picks are linked here ;)

Hope you have the best weekend!

WHAT I'M WATCHING FOR HALLOWEEK

Happy HALLOWEEK!! It's one of the best times of the year and outside of Christmas, my favorite holiday- "Halloween is cool." I have to squeeze in all of the last minute Halloween things this week which definitely involves watching some on brand movies/shows. I can appreciate a classic scary movie here and there, however that's not really my vibes these days. Growing up, I think most of the novelty of watching scary movies came from them being rated R, lol. I remember feeling soooooo cool that my mom and dad let us watch the original Halloween movie when I was around 10 or 12. We made a whole big to-do out of it and of course had to watch it on the big tv in the basement, however basements + scary movie + 12 year old KP = extra spooks, lol! I remember being paranoid my dad was going to sneak down and scare the crap out of us, lolllllll.

Long gone are my scary movie watching days (honestly I really think The Grudge and The Ring did it for me), however I do still have a love for the classics. One day I'll go back and re-watch some of my faves- Halloween is of course one of the best, however I also always loved A Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream, etc.

My list for this week definitely has different vibes. The one "scary" movie I threw in is the new I Know What You Did Last Summer. I vaguely remember watching some of the originals... I wasn't as into them as some of the other classics. I saw the new one is currently on Netflix and because it has some of the original cast and Madelyn Cline, I *may* give it a go if I'm feeling extra festive, lol.

Also on the list are Death Becomes Her, Practical Magic and The Craft because I have had these on my "Halloween watch list" for years now and every year I never watch them. I'll chalk that up to never being able to find them online, however this year they're all on streaming services I have. I will for sure watch Practical Magic - that one is top of the list. Death Becomes Her is sort of a cheeky, horror-comedy drama? I can't wait to watch. I love Meryl, Goldie and Bruce!

Twilight doesn't really need an explanation but I'm currently re-reading the book so I threw it on the list too. I'm almost done with my reread so I thought it'd be fun to also rewatch the movie after! I'd normally include the Harry Potter movies too but I'm on pause right now with my re-read/re-watch.

Last on the list is A Discovery of Witches- a series I came across on Netflix. This one intrigued me and has a fantasy theme about witches/vampires/etc. I've never heard anyone mention it so I have no clue what to expect- have you ever heard of/seen it? The preview looked really interesting!

HALLOWEEK WATCH LIST

+ Death Becomes Her
+ Practical Magic
+ I Know What You Did Last Summer
+ Twilight
+ A Discovery of Witches
+ The Craft

I doubt I'll make it through the entire list but I'm hoping to cross a few off! Let me know if you've ever watched any of these + what your favorite Halloween movies are!

What are your Halloween plans?

3. NOTHING BUNDT CAKES S'MORES + OREO REVIEW - Ya'll these d*mn bundt cakes will be the death of me! Nothing Bundt Cakes has been putting out some bangers this year in the LTO/pop-up flavors. So far I think we've tried and reviewed 4-5 here on the blog. Obviously I had to snagged the summer S'mores flavor which is randomly popular this month?? I also tried it with the Oreo one- a permanent flavor. Maybe that's what you guys are after... hehe. You can read my thoughts on both here. Anyone know what the next one is?? 5. MCCORMICK FALL FINISHING SUGARS - Ya'll know I had to grab these early! Last year McCormick introduced new finishing sugars during the holidays which were a b*tch to find, lol. I searched high and low for the Christmas flavors and *thankfully* found them, however nothing haunts me like the things I can't find! On a real note- it drives me nuts. Just this week I had to hunt down these new holiday Triscuits lol-- Cinnamon Brown Sugar, hello???? Everything always sells out way too fast so as soon as I saw these new fall flavors, I immediately ordered. The funny thing is they came prepared this year and I've seen them all over town, hahahahah. You can also buy them all online here and the prices are the same as you'd pay in store. Anywho- these are so fun. Great for baking, holidays drinks + more.

WEEKLY PUBLIX HAUL | 10.10.25

Happy Friday, friends! Idk about ya'll but this week wore me outttttt. I'm ready to veg out and relax this weekend with my book and some new Publix snackies, hehe. They definitely hustled me with this week's round of BOGOs. I went on Tuesday for tea and you can clearly see how things escalated, lol. I did in fact snag the tea though- I love Yogi and Traditional Medicinals teas which were both on BOGO. For years I've heard Peppermint Tea is great for digestion so I wanted to grab a box of that to try- the rest were impulse and clearly an internal cry for help??? Lol, Lord knows I'll need to chill the f*ck out as we get into the holiday season. On a real note- doesn't Cinnamon Horchata sound so good? I can't wait to try.

Lately I've also been on a dried apple kick so finding Bare Apple Chips on sale was a win- the cinnamon flavor is my fave. I've been trying to reign in my sugar addiction a bit so these have been a go-to healthier option when I'm craving something sweet. I love the crunch + texture. I've also been on a salty pretzel/cracker kick so I stocked up on Triscuits + these new Pretzel Pop'ums from Snack Factory.

Most everything else is just random staples, however another new find are the So Good So You juice shots. I've never tried this brand before so I grabbed one of each: Mango Spinach Energy, Ginger Cayenne Immunity, Pineapple Orange Detox, Passionfruit Energy + Watermelon Strawberry Immunity.

NOTHING BUNDT CAKES BISCOFF COOKIE BUTTER REVIEW

Sweet dreams are made of cookie butter cake! Last week Nothing Bundt Cakes launched their newest pop-up bundtlet flavor for fall, Biscoff Cookie Butter. An immediate yes. Someone over there is seriously working overtime these days to kill my diet, y'all, but how could I not??! It looks, sounds and smells scrumptious!

The latest greatest features a spiced cake baked with Biscoff cookies, the signature NBC frosting and a drizzle of cookie butter on top. I’ve always loved Biscoff cookies and cookie butter desserts, there was no way I was missing this one! Before you could buy them in grocery stores, Biscoff cookies were only really available on airplane flights. Growing up my dad flew all of the time and would always bring extras back home for us! Even now I still love getting them whenever I fly, they are so good and it gives me a little bit of nostalgia. I love the warm, sweet and cinnamony flavor. They're decadent, delicious and also a perfect flavor profile for fall. I think this was an excellent fall pop-up choice and as expected, it's a winner in my book!

In my review of the Caramel Apple Cider Pop-up Bundtlet, I mentioned how much I love the spiced cake flavor. It’s so yummy and as far as I can tell, the cake is the exact same or very close to the one used for both the Apple Cider and the Snickerdoodle flavor they used to carry. It’s cinnamony and delicious! Not too much spice, just the perfect hint of warmth. It also pairs really well with the cookie butter and frosting, you can’t go wrong. I was a little surprised that the cookie butter flavor is more on the mild side- you just get a hint from the drizzle on top. I have a huge sweet tooth so I would have loved a cookie butter filled center for a little extra richness! Still yummy nonetheless and worth the splurge!

With one week left for this pop-up flavor, I’d definitely snatch one of these up quick! If you’re a cookie butter fan, it's a must try!

What’s your favorite Nothing Bundt Cakes flavor?
