Sweet dreams are made of cookie butter cake! Last week Nothing Bundt Cakes launched their newest pop-up bundtlet flavor for fall, Biscoff Cookie Butter. An immediate yes. Someone over there is seriously working overtime these days to kill my diet, y'all, but how could I not??! It looks, sounds and smells scrumptious!
The latest greatest features a spiced cake baked with Biscoff cookies, the signature NBC frosting and a drizzle of cookie butter on top. I’ve always loved Biscoff cookies and cookie butter desserts, there was no way I was missing this one! Before you could buy them in grocery stores, Biscoff cookies were only really available on airplane flights. Growing up my dad flew all of the time and would always bring extras back home for us! Even now I still love getting them whenever I fly, they are so good and it gives me a little bit of nostalgia. I love the warm, sweet and cinnamony flavor. They're decadent, delicious and also a perfect flavor profile for fall. I think this was an excellent fall pop-up choice and as expected, it's a winner in my book!
In my review of the Caramel Apple Cider Pop-up Bundtlet, I mentioned how much I love the spiced cake flavor. It’s so yummy and as far as I can tell, the cake is the exact same or very close to the one used for both the Apple Cider and the Snickerdoodle flavor they used to carry. It’s cinnamony and delicious! Not too much spice, just the perfect hint of warmth. It also pairs really well with the cookie butter and frosting, you can’t go wrong. I was a little surprised that the cookie butter flavor is more on the mild side- you just get a hint from the drizzle on top. I have a huge sweet tooth so I would have loved a cookie butter filled center for a little extra richness! Still yummy nonetheless and worth the splurge!
With one week left for this pop-up flavor, I’d definitely snatch one of these up quick! If you’re a cookie butter fan, it's a must try!
