Whenever Target has one of their "Buy $30, get a $5 gift card" deals going on in a category that I like to shop or need something from, I always try to take advantage. Usually it's some variation of $$$ off or to earn a bonus Target gift card- both are a-ok in my book. We love a little extra incentive to spend and "save" money, no? This week's offer is for personal care items which was great timing for me- I've been needing to restock on essentials so why not share my cart with you?? These are those typical boring everyday items we all use but I've always found a little excitement in the mundane, ya know? Sometimes we'll even get a lil' crazy by trying out a new shaving gel scent or Dr. Teal's bath salt, lollllzzz. You think I'm joking but I'm actually the most excited to get this Skintimate Coconut Delight. I smelled it in the grocery store a few weeks ago and it's pretty much all I've thought about since. Be prepared for a new beachy, summer goddess in town- she's coming. 

Also on the note of summer and sweating- this Secret deodorant is the OG. As much as I hate to admit it, nothing can hang like our long-time, aluminum-filled toxic deodorant friends when it comes to summer. I'll hold out hope that one day we'll get the best of both worlds with a clean ingredient alternative but until then, I'll take toxic for 200 over B.O. every day of the week.

DRUGSTORE BEAUTY ESSENTIALS HAUL

Hellllooooo, we're haulin' today. What started as a pickup order for deodorant and epsom salt ended with two bags full of "essentials" and -$54. But really who am I to say no to a free $5 gift card when all I have to do is spend $30 (*ahem, $54*)?? Girl math says that's leaving money on the table + we can't have that, right? Target runnnnn and doneeee (on us, lol). 

On a slightly more serious note- some of these things actually are essentials and the sad reality of adulthood is that buying necessities is basically a form of entertainment at this point. Lol- IYKYK. 

Actually serious now- let's get into the good stuff. Epsom salt + deodorant: the reason for the spree-son. Ya'll know my bath obsession requires some of the good doctor's bubble bath and epsom salt so I grabbed a few bags of Dr. Teal's in fragrance free + my favorite pink Himalayan. I also don't think I ever shared a deodorant update but I finally cracked a few months ago and switched back to the Secret Clinical. I was on 1-2 years of only "natural" and clean deodorants but between the gym and the summer heat, it was just too much. I think if your days are less physically demanding, you can still make it work with some great options like the Salt & Stone which I still love. 

For where I'm at in life right now, I just had to give it up. I'll still rotate my S&S on lighter activity days and maybe some during in the cooler months but for now I've gone back to my tried-and-true favorite for everyday. 

I also got an itch to go back to using makeup remover wipes and Aveeno was always my go-to. I use to love the Ultra Calming Wipes which I believe are now the Calm + Restore. I grabbed a pack of those and the Positively Radiant. Also from Aveeno- this Therapeutic Shave Gel which I've also never tried. 

I love + repurchased the St. Ives Shea & Oatmeal Body Wash and on impulse- this EOS Hand Cream and a mini Nivea Creme. Had to secure that $5 gift card! In reality, I'll be needing them once the cold weather hits.
