NEW SKINCARE + SELF TAN HAUL

It's haul time, ya'll. I finished opening some new beauty purchases I picked up during Prime Week this year- I snagged some awesome skincare buys and some new self tanner! Skincare is definitely my favorite beauty category to buy these days- it makes all the difference both with and without makeup on. This year I discovered the brand Minimalist on Amazon which is a new favorite. I wanted to switch things up in my routine by trying their Marula Oil Hydrating Moisturizer which is an absolute dream for dry skin! I picked it out specifically for that reason and in all honesty- because it came in a tube packaging. I wanted something a little less fussy than a jar cream for the mornings, as silly as that sounds!

I immediately was impressed and after going through an entire tube, I repurchased it again during Prime Week. I don't think this product was actually "on sale," however it's only around $11 which is incredible. It's super hydrating and gives my skin a healthy glow. I've also tried this Sepicalm Sensitive Skin moisturizer also by Minimalist which I enjoyed. They have tons of different products- all formulated according to skin preference in need which I love. New in this haul is this Aquaporin Booster Cleanser- a gentle, hydrating cleanser also for dry skin. I've now been using it for a week or two and so far, I'm enjoying the formula.

For the eye area, I picked up both a variety pack of the Grace & Stella Under Eye Patches and this Beauty of Joseon Retinal Eye Serum. I'm excited to try out all of the different eyepatches in the box- there is a mix of different ones for anti-aging, de-puffing/dark circles, smoothing, hydrating + more. They also included a free Grace & Stella Hydrating Lip Mask during the sale which I definitely need. My lips always get so dry- I will let you know how it is! It smells so good, just like strawberries!

Last but first on my buying list was this Coco & Eve Self Tanning Kit. I've heard so many great things about their tanning mousse so I can't wait to try! The kit is a great value and sold me because of the back applicator! I've always struggled with tanning my back so this has to help!

What are your skincare must-haves?

MINI AMAZON SKINCARE HAUL

This month I've been working to replenish my skin with lots of extra hydration and moisture. I made the mistake of derma planing a few weeks ago when my skin was on the dry side which resulted in even more dryness and lots of redness and irritation. I was running low on my hyaluronic acid serum and moisturizer (both of which I love + highly recommend) so I thought I'd try out some new products with a few added ingredients to help calm and restore my skin.

After hearing a lot of positive reviews on this TIRTIR Milk Skin Rice Toner, I purchased it as a first step post-cleanse for my daytime routine. It's a hydrating toner with niacinamide (vitamin B3) which has a lot skin benefits such as treating acne and inflammation to targeting wrinkles. The toner also contains rice bran, ceramides and some other ingredients to help deeply moisturize and brighten the skin.

For even more added hydration, I also picked up this ANUA Rice Ceramide 7 Hydrating Barrier Serum to layer on top of the milk toner. This one has a few similar ingredients including rice extract and niacinamide, however it also has hyaluronic acid, honey extract and glycerin.

To seal all of the moisture in, I wanted to try out this Minimalist Face Moisturizer for Dry Skin. It seemed like a good layering option for daytime with 5% Marula Oil and hyaluronic acid.

I started using these three together in the mornings after cleansing (lately I've just been using my micellar water + a cotton pad so I don't over wash my skin) and before applying my tinted SPF. I noticed an immediate difference after two or three days in my skin and it's done a complete 360, ya'll. All of the dryness is gone and it looks so vibrant and glowy! I even had someone compliment my skin this week and say that I had a glow going!

So far I'm super impressed and excited to keep trying these out. Compared to a lot of the skincare I typically buy, they were also very affordable (especially the moisturizer- it's like $7!). As of now, I definitely think they're worth trying if you're needing some extra hydration. I also have very sensitive skin and I haven't found them to be irritating at all. I'll continue to keep using them and will update you again a little later on!

NEW BEAUTY + SKINCARE HAUL

I've been a little shoppy lately in the beauty department. Between my birthday last month and needing to revamp my skin a bit, I have some fun new purchases to share with you.

As part of my birthday gift, I decided to finally splurge on the Valentino Born in Roma Green Stravaganza perfume. This is the first scent I've smelled and enjoyed on my skin in years- it's seriously so so good. I opted for this gift set with a full-size bottle and an extra travel-size, however I found it on sale for 25% off right now here! I'm not sure how long the sale will last but that's an amazing deal!

I haven't bought too much actual makeup lately, just a new concealer. I've always loved this one- it's super high coverage with a great shade range.

Lately my main priority has become my skin. I've been working on clearing up some pesky breakouts and staying consistent with my skincare products. This week she went on a major freakout- I think my monthly derma plane on Monday was a bad mood. Right now everything is a little dry and flaky so I'm grabbing for extra hydration and moisture. I decided to try out these Dr.Jart+ face masks to help give my skin a little boost- these rubber ones are so neat looking! I picked up a moisturizing one, a soothing one + a pack of these moisturizing sheet masks with Hyaluronic Acid

I'm also excited to finally try this ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. I've heard everyone rave about this product for years and since I was in the market for an oil-based cleanser to take off makeup, I decided to purchase. I think adding back in an extra step with my micellar water will help my skin and make sure all of my makeup is fully removed. I did a restock on my favorite cotton pads too- I use them with the micellar water for my eyes + face. They are hands down the best cotton pads I've ever used + 100% worth the splurge! For under eyes, I've been trying out this OSEA eye serum that is anti-aging and targets dark circles and puffiness with Hyaluronic Acid and peptides. I love how cooling it feels on my skin!

What's in your skincare lineup right now?

TOWER 28 BEAUTY HAUL

One of my Black Friday purchases this year was some new beauty goodies from Tower 28 Beauty. I've had my eye on their SOS Makeup Spray for the last several weeks so when they ran their sale, I decided to pick up a few things. Lately I've been breaking out a lot around my chin + mouth area which is super frustrating. Sometimes I'll have a "flare up" with several around my mouth area and I can never pinpoint what's causing them. I've heard a lot of great things about using hypochlorous acid for breakouts which is one of the active ingredients in the Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray. The spray is also formulated to help with redness + irritation which I also sometimes have!

I ended up buying the spray in this limited edition SOS Rescue Bestsellers Kit. The kit comes with a full size of the SOS Rescue Spray, a full size SOS LipSoftie Lip Treatment Balm and a mini SOS Face Cream. The entire kit normally retails for $40 and is a $56 value, however I snagged it for 28% off with the BF/CM discount! I've been trying it out and I actually think it's made a big difference in my skin so far.

I grabbed a few lippie products on sale too- the ShineOn Lip Jelly in the shade "Sesame" and the OneLiner Lip Liner in "Check Me Out." They also included a free gift with purchase too- another ShineOn Lip Jelly in the shade "Chill" which was a fun bonus!

I've always enjoyed using Tower 28's products and I love that they are clean and have fun, sleek packaging. I'll definitely keep you updated on how using the SOS Spray goes but so far, I'm impressed.

DRUGSTORE BEAUTY ESSENTIALS HAUL

Hellllooooo, we're haulin' today. What started as a pickup order for deodorant and epsom salt ended with two bags full of "essentials" and -$54. But really who am I to say no to a free $5 gift card when all I have to do is spend $30 (*ahem, $54*)?? Girl math says that's leaving money on the table + we can't have that, right? Target runnnnn and doneeee (on us, lol).

On a slightly more serious note- some of these things actually are essentials and the sad reality of adulthood is that buying necessities is basically a form of entertainment at this point. Lol- IYKYK.

Actually serious now- let's get into the good stuff. Epsom salt + deodorant: the reason for the spree-son. Ya'll know my bath obsession requires some of the good doctor's bubble bath and epsom salt so I grabbed a few bags of Dr. Teal's in fragrance free + my favorite pink Himalayan. I also don't think I ever shared a deodorant update but I finally cracked a few months ago and switched back to the Secret Clinical. I was on 1-2 years of only "natural" and clean deodorants but between the gym and the summer heat, it was just too much. I think if your days are less physically demanding, you can still make it work with some great options like the Salt & Stone which I still love.

For where I'm at in life right now, I just had to give it up. I'll still rotate my S&S on lighter activity days and maybe some during in the cooler months but for now I've gone back to my tried-and-true favorite for everyday.

I also got an itch to go back to using makeup remover wipes and Aveeno was always my go-to. I use to love the Ultra Calming Wipes which I believe are now the Calm + Restore. I grabbed a pack of those and the Positively Radiant. Also from Aveeno- this Therapeutic Shave Gel which I've also never tried.

I love + repurchased the St. Ives Shea & Oatmeal Body Wash and on impulse- this EOS Hand Cream and a mini Nivea Creme. Had to secure that $5 gift card! In reality, I'll be needing them once the cold weather hits.

KIEHL'S SKINCARE HAUL

I've been looking for a new skincare routine that's simple, effective + manageable. Ever since I started seeing a few fine lines pop up on my forehead, I've become even more paranoid about my skin. I was fully convinced I needed to order an entire fleet of medical grade skincare to start using and while I haven't completely written that idea off, I thought I'd go back to the basics first. This entire haul was inspired by a video I came across on TikTok basically explaining that a lot of the symptoms I have are caused from dehydrated skin. I always seem to have dryer skin so boosting my moisture level definitely can't hurt. The creator also said the true game changer for those pesky forehead lines is to use a hyaluronic acid serum, a gentle exfoliator and a moisturizer.

I thought back to what I used when I had the best, most hydrated skin and the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream came to mind. I used it religiously for years and have always been a huge fan of the entire brand. It has always been great for my sensitive skin + just super effective. They also have a hyaluronic acid serum and an exfoliating toner that are both top rated + exactly what I've been wanting to add in.

I'm excited to start a new routine + see how this works all together. Sometimes you can find some great discounts on Kiehl's and they're also sold on Amazon which I love. A few weeks back, I found their Ultra Facial Cleanser 50% off during the Ulta/Sephora sale days and then grabbed the rest of my goodies last week for 30% off on Kiehls.com. I re-purchased the Ultra Facial Cream with the Ultra Pure High-Potency 1.5% Hyaluronic Acid and the Daily Refining Milk-Peel Toner. They also had a fun freebie going on for Mother's Day so I scored this cute little bag with some extra samples!

I'll definitely keep you posted on how it goes but would love to hear about your skincare routine! What are some must-have products and steps that you always use?

BEAUTY HAUL + 2024 ULTA/SEPHORA BIRTHDAY GIFTS

In celebration of my birthday, I treated myself to a few new makeup goodies + snagged this year's birthday gifts from Sephora + Ulta. My sissy also gifted me a few things from my wish list so let's do a little birthday haul :)

To me from me are a new BeautyBlender, the Prima Unwind Bath Gem + one of the new Summer Fridays Lip Oils. I keep seeing rave reviews about them so I'm very excited to try! I love their Butter Lip Balm and that everything is formulated with clean, non-toxic ingredients. I picked the shade "Pink Cloud." The Prima Bath Gem was a bit of an impulse buy but ya'll know how much I love to soak! The brand offers several different bath soaks, I chose the Unwind soak which has epsom salt and CBD to calm and relax.

From my sister: The Hand Cream by Nécessaire and the Natasha Denona My Mini Dream Glow Blush. I've had my eye on both of these and can't wait to use them-- thanks sissy! I loved the original Nécessaire hand cream so I can't wait to try out the new version-- my hands also need it, they've been so dry this winter.

For my birthday freebies, I chose the Kopari Ultra Restore Body Butter from Ulta and the Charlotte Tilbury Birthday Trio at Sephora. This set comes with a mini lipstick, Airbrush Flawless Spray + Magic Cream sample. Every year I have a hard time choosing which one to pick from Sephora because all of the choices are good. Ulta did this year too! Normally it's a different one each month so what you get usually depends on when your birthday is. This year they had 4-5 different options you could actually choose from and I liked the Kopari!

A LITTLE HAIRCARE HAUL

Lately my hair has been a bit of a hot mess express in need of a little TLC. Naturally it only made sense to try out some new products and a fresh routine to add some life and zhuzh things up a bit! My hair has always been very thick, a little wavy + curly and prone to some dryness. I'm not a consistent masker so to add some extra moisture in, I scooped up this cute Amika Mask set. It comes with three of their bestselling masks: a full-size of the Dream Routine Overnight Hydration Treatment and two deluxe sizes in the Soulfood Nourishing Mask and The Kure Intense Bond Repair Mask. I can't wait to try them all. I've always been happy with how Amika products work and these all have great ratings-- they also smell amazing!

Also in the smoothing realm are these goodies from IGK: the Good Behavior 4-in-1 Prep Spray, Good Behavior Smoothing Spray and Crybaby Anti-Frizz Serum. There is lots of smoothing, de-frizzing and softening involved which hopefully transfers to my hair!

Lastly from Ouai, my sister bought me a little gift set for Christmas that came with their Scalp & Body Scrub, the Detox Shampoo + Hair Oil. I think between these, Amika + IGK, I've pretty much got all of my bases covered. I'll keep you posted on how everything works!

NEW YEAR, NEW SKIN | AUGUSTINUS BADER HAUL

I've decided that we're kicking 2024 off not only with a new year but with a new glow up. It's time to start being that b*tch, if you know what I mean. I'm excited to start doing a little re-vamp on both my beauty routines + wardrobe this year. Everything has just been feeling a little lackluster lately so I think a little refresh is only fitting. I've always been a big beauty gal, especially when it comes to skincare. I firmly believe that taking care of your skin is vital- most importantly for your overall health- but also to better enhance makeup and your overall look.

It's also probably no secret that I'm willing to get a little boujee when it comes to my skin. While you definitely don't have or need to buy expensive products, I have fun splurging a little bit here and there. I tend to look for products that are both effective + that have relatively "clean" ingredients. One brand (and product in particular) that I've had on my wish list for over a year now is the Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream. It's very highly rated but very expensive. I went down a rabbit hole on Tik-tok to essentially justify why I shouldn't buy it. I've yet to decide if any products are actually worth this price point, however the reviews didn't exactly do what I wanted. Of course there were some negatives, however the overall consensus I gathered is that it's nice, a little too expensive but no other creams compare or work exactly the same. We'll definitely see about that!

I decided to bite the bullet but if I'm going to splurge, I'm going to splurge smart. Augustinus Bader offers some various "value" sets and this one called the Skin Renewal System caught my eye. It includes three AB products-- 1 x 1oz. of The Rich Cream, 1 x 1oz. The Essence and 1 x 1oz. of The Cream Cleansing Gel. The entire set retails for $185 which is what just the 1oz. of The Rich Cream sells for by itself. I always love a good set + the idea of essentially getting the other two products "for free" seemed like a good way to test out the brand. I was also able to purchase the set during the December Sephora sale for 20% off which ended up dropping the price down to $148. Here's a little more info on each product:

AUGUSTINUS BADER THE SKIN RENEWAL SYSTEM

+The Rich Cream: Suitable for normal-to-dry skin, described as "intensely hydrating" to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles + hyperpigmentation.

+The Essence: Suitable normal, dry, oily + combination skin, described as a three-in-one mild chemical exfoliant, toner + essence for smooth, soft + hydrated skin.

+The Cream Cleansing Gel: Suitable for normal, dry, oily + combination skin, described as a daily cleanser to cleanse, purify + renew skin.

I've only tried everything out a few times so far so I don't have much to report yet. I will say that the overall design, look + feel of the packaging is nice (as it should be). I have seen some videos that show the polarity between how much product you're getting versus the size of the bottle, but that isn't really new to the beauty industry. That seems to be very common, especially when it comes to foundation + complexion products. Logically we all know that a 1oz. product isn't very much, however when packaged in larger bottles you feel as if you're purchasing more than you really are. I'd be willing to bet that most of us would think a little harder about our purchases if everything was packaged in a container perfectly sized for the actual amount of product. I also think while not ideal, it's understandable from a business perspective. Even more so on higher end, luxury products. Keeping my fingers crossed that a little bit goes a long way!

If you've had a chance to try out anything from Augustinus Bader, I'd love to know your thoughts. I'm excited to see how the products work and I'm also half wishing they do and don't live up to the hype!

FALL MAKEUP HAUL

Fall-makeup-the-Kristen-diary-blogFall-makeup-products-haul-the-Kristen-diary-blog

MAC Lip Pencil in "Whirl" // MAC Love Me Lipstick in "Daddy's Girl" // FENTY Gloss Bomb in FU$$Y // MAC Prep + Prime Highlighter in "Radiant Rose" // Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow Foundation

Do you ever feel like you just need to change up your entire look? That's where I've been lately. Fall has given me the perfect excuse to do a little shopping so I grabbed a few new beauty items to refresh with. I've been feeling underwhelmed with my foundation/complexion situation lately so I grabbed the new Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow Foundation. I really love their Vanish Stick so I'm hoping this one will be great too.

A tried and true repurchase is the MAC Prep + Prime Highlighter in "Radiant Rose." Hands down, THE best under-eye brighter if your skin tone is on the lighter side like mine. It has a peachiness that counteracts dark circles and brightens everything up so well. I also love that the consistency is really light + easy to blend. Some concealers can be too thick + cakey under the eye but this is perfect.

The last order of business is some lip service. I'll be the first to admit that most days, I don't fool with wearing lip products. I'm a balm girl through and through but I kind of want to be a liner/stick/gloss kinda gal, too. I saw the prettiest lip combo on a Tik-Toker (I wish I remembered her name) which was MAC's Whirl Liner + Daddy's Girl Lipstick. I grabbed both of those + the FENTY Gloss Bomb in "FU$$Y" to put on top.

RECENT BEAUTY PURCHASES

Between fourth of July and Prime Week, I've been doing some much needed damage in the retail therapy depo. I definitely go in waves when it comes to shopping. I either buy nothing or I buy everything! Lol. Anyone else also like that? Since I snagged a few new beauty items from my list, it was the perfect opportunity to share a random mini haul. All for the blog content, right? Here's what I grabbed:

+ Nécessaire The Deodorant Gel - I'm still on the clean deodorant sans aluminum kick which has turned out to be an ongoing drama. I have yet to find the "perfect" clean deodorant that is clean, smells yummy and doesn't make me sweat or itch. I was loving the Agent Nateur holi(stick), however I later found out that me + baking soda do not get along. That makes finding a good one even harder + I've been through several so-so options. I'm not sure I'll be able to find one that works like an antiperspirant so it better not make me smell or mess up my clothes!

I decided to give this Nécessaire The Deodorant Gel a try because it's pretty clean + has amazing reviews. What sold me were the claims that it smelled great, wasn't irritating for sensitive skin + didn't leave a stain on clothing. It also comes in a glass bottle and is a roll on which I love + love! I grabbed both the Eucalyptus scent and the fragrance free.

+ Sun Bum Sunscreen Lip Balm w/ SPF 30 - I'm also trying to be better about using SPF everyday so I grabbed this Sun Bum Mineral Lip Balm. I love Colorescience and this tinted moisturizer for the face but I always forget about the lips. The Sun Bum lippie is mineral and made with Zinc Oxide which is a must. Always choose physical sunscreens (Zinc Oxide or Titanium Dioxide) over chemical!

+ UNITE 7 Seconds Leave-in Hair Detangler - Sydney Adams influenced me on this one! My hair is a hot mess most of the time and because it's so long + wavy, it get pretty tangled up. After I saw her recommend the Unite 7 Seconds Detangler, I looked it up and was immediately sold after reading the reviews. It detangles, adds moisture and has sun + heat protection.

+ Dior Backstage Face Brush - Jena influenced this one, haha. I've been wanting to try the Dior Airflash Foundation for years now and she recently said this brush works so amazing paired with it. I'm still trying to figure out what shade to order in the foundation but I have the brush now! It also looks like it would be great for cream bronzers too.

STATIC NAILS PRESS ON NAILS | HAUL

Mademoiselle Almond // Mint Honey Coffin // Peach Fizz Coffin // Sway in White Almond // Brush-on Nail Glue

We're haulin' again today, guys. I grabbed a few new sets of press ons during the Static Nails 4th of July sale that I had to share with you. They are SO good for summer-- there are so many good colors + styles out right now. I've been working on perfecting my at-home manicure skills and I think they have some of the best shapes and designs when it comes to press-ons. They give a more professional, salon quality look which I am all for!

They have a few different shapes to pick from, right now I'm having an almond and coffin shape moment. They're the perfect length and give a sleek and chic look. I wanted to get a mix of both so I grabbed the almond shape in both Mademoiselle (ombré French manicure vibes) and Sway in White (a swirled white + nude design). Both are great neutral shades but still have a little something extra to them. I also love the Sway in Black-- definitely grabbing those next time!

Because it's summertime I also wanted to add a few more fun colors in so I snagged the coffins in Mint Honey (such a gorg bright seafoamy green) and Peach Fizz (a sparkly, iridescent peach). I love love love them both- they are definitely my top two faves. The brighter colors are definitely calling my name right now and I wish I'd grabbed a few more! Something purple or blue toned would be so pretty.

Probably the most important purchase was the Brush-on nail glue, lol. You get a little squeeze tube of glue with each set but we did not get along. I had lots of issues, lol. Squeezing and controlling the amount coming out made the application a bit of a mess so I would just skip it and grab the brush-on. Thank me later! ;)

TOWER 28 BEAUTY HAUL

tower-28-beauty-haul-the-Kristen-diary-blog
tower-28-sunnydays-foundation-fairfax
tower-28-magic-hour-blush-bronzino-bronzer
tower-28-beauty-makeup

I've been trying to get my hands on the Tower 28 SunnyDays Tinted Foundation for months. Being pale AF, I needed the lightest shade "Fairfax" which always seems to be sold out! It finally came back in stock a few weeks ago which gave me the perfect opportunity to go shopping for some new makeup. I'm also new to trying out the brand so I snagged a few other things to try out. Here's a small little haul of what I picked up.

Also a quick PS-- I love everything about this brand so far. From their clean ingredients, hydrating formulas + sleek packaging, I'm impressed already and excited to try it all out. Their entire vibe is very simple (clean lines with a few core products) but still unique in it's own way. It gives me easy going, effortless vibes and reminds me of summer fun and warmer months. Let's dive in!

THE GOODS

+ SunnyDays SPF 30 Tinted Sunscreen Foundation - The motivation for the haul- their SunnyDays Foundation with SPF 30. This seemed like the perfect spring + summer product. It's both a foundation + a mineral sunscreen with light-to-medium buildable coverage. It's also clean and safe for sensitive skin which I have.

+ Dream Team Lip + Cheek Set - The Dream Team Lip + Cheek Set is a great buy to try out two of their bestselling products. It has full sizes of the BeachPlease Cream Blush in the color "Magic Hour" and a Milky Lip Jelly in the color "Pistachio." I've also had the lip jellies on my watch list for a while + also loved the color of the blush.

+ Bronzino Illuminating Cream Bronzer - Obviously I need a new bronzer for the summer too, right? I really think it's the packaging, ya'll. Everything looks so sleek + pretty, I wanted it all! I grabbed the lightest shade "Sun Coast."

+ ShineOn Milky Lip Jelly - I also needed options on the lippies! The set comes with the Milky Lip Jelly newest shade "Pistachio" but I also loved the color "Coconut" so I grabbed it too. It's also a pink shade but more vibrant and rosy. Also loving how "Oat" looks too so will definitely grab it next if I like these!

I'd love to hear whether you've tried anything out from Tower 28 + what your thoughts are. Let me know below + if you could only get one thing from their line, what would it be?

JUPITER HAIR CARE UNBOXING

Scalp issues are the worst. I've been struggling for the past several years with a dry, itchy scalp and enough is enough! Definitely a little TMI and gross but it is what it is. I've made it my mission to *hopefully* find products that will help knock this sh*t out. After doing a little bit of research in the name of Google, I think I have some version of scalp psoriasis or seborrheic dermatitis. While I'm no doctor, it looks like the treatment options for both can be similar which is a plus for me! Right now I'm being stubborn and avoiding the dermatologist. Ideally, I would much rather find a solution on my own that isn't super medicated or toxic so we're going the trial + error route first!

One day I came across an ad for the hair care brand Jupiter which has an entire product line made specifically for scalp and dandruff issues. I was immediately intrigued that everything is formulated with clean, safe ingredients and by their simple and sleek packaging. I had never heard of the brand before so I obviously had to order some new things to test out. They carry six different scalp products on their website: a shampoo, conditioner, serum, elixir, mask + scalp brush. You can also find them here on Amazon. I decided to start with the basics so I grabbed the Balancing Shampoo + Nourishing Conditioner and then added in the Restoring Serum for an extra leave-in treatment.

Balancing Shampoo - 1% Zinc Pyrithione, Coconut Oil + Algae Extract
Nourishing Conditioner - Probiotics, Vitamin E + Colloidal Oatmeal
Restoring Serum - 0.125% Zinc Pyrithione, Green Tea + Aloe Vera

The shampoo and serum both have Zinc Pyrithione, an anti-fungal agent that targets dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis. From what I've researched, it's considered safe and effective in doses up to 1% for rinse off hair products and 0.1% for leave on products. I was also excited to see Vitamin E as an active ingredient in the conditioner. I've heard it's a great supplement to take alongside selenium for psoriasis and I've have considered adding it to my supplement routine. I'm always intrigued when vitamins + supplements you would normally take orally or digest through food are also used in products applied topically.

Like the bottles, the packaging of everything was also very clean + minimal which I love. They included a free travel pouch with my order and a little how-to with helpful tips and info. Also a little FYI-- when I purchased, there was a shipping delay due to the shampoo being out of stock. I think they sell out quickly so keep that in mind when ordering or use Amazon if you want it a little faster. When ordering I also wondered about the scent-- I like it, very subtle but with a minty hint. I'm looking forward to trying and hopefully seeing positive results. Will keep you posted on how things go!

STOCKING UP ON ESSENTIALS! MAY HEALTH + BEAUTY HAUL

Do you ever get excited to buy/restock everyday necessities like tooth paste or deodorant?? I use to hate spending money on them but honestly I love it now. I feel so accomplished using something up and it just feels like you're taking care of biz, ya know?? Adulthood is a willllldddddd ride. Real talk though-- should we be alarmed by this? Do we think this is normal? Are we OK? LOL... ðŸ˜¬

Target had a promo going on this week so I decided to stock up on a few things. Every once in awhile you can find coupons or sales on a lot of household essentials! I usually try to take advantage of these + pick up things I'm out of or know I'll need later. Today's haul is mix of repurchases and some new things I'm excited to try!

St. Ives Oatmeal & Shea Butter Plant-Based Natural Body Wash Soap

This one is a newbie for me! I don't have a go-to body wash so I picked the St. Ives Oatmeal & Shea Butter one to try. I'm still doing my best to purchase products with better ingredients and the St. Ives looks cleaner than a lot of other drugstore options. It is natural, plant-based and paraben free. All sound like a plus, no? Smells yummy too!

hello Antiplaque and Whitening Fluoride Free Toothpaste

Alright this is my first time purchasing what I will call "a healthier toothpaste." My ride or die is this Colgate Optic White. I have no complaints (works great!) but have always thought about trying a fluoride free alternative. I'll be honest-- the whole idea makes me a little nervous/skeptical? I feel like it's in the same grouping with natural deodorants. You hear mixed reviews on how effective they actually are but I'm curious enough to give it a shot! I researched a few and decided to try the hello Antiplaque and Whitening Fluoride Free Toothpaste. It has great ratings (4.7 out of 5 on Target!) and is clean (no parabens, phthalates or sulfates). I always like a whitening option too so that sealed the deal. I'll let you know what I think!

Steripod Clip-on Toothbrush Cover

Do you have one of these Steripod Toothbrush Covers? They are an all-time favorite of mine! You just clip it right over your toothbrush head! It helps keep it fresh + protects from dirt, germs, etc. Just think about keeping your toothbrush uncovered in the same room that you use the toilet.... no brainer for me, haha! They're also super affordable. You can buy a single one here or grab the two-pack for another $1. It's a better value to buy the two-pack so that's what I do!

Orabrush by DenTek Tongue Cleaner

We're really going all out with the dental hygiene today, lol. I recently read an article about how helpful tongue scrapers are on removing germs so I grabbed this one from DenTek. I've always just brushed my tongue but since I use a Sonicare, I thought it might be good to have a separate cleaner. If you use a regular toothbrush-- a lot of the rubber ones have a scraper on the backside! Hoping it won't make me gag!

Nature Made Vitamin C 250mg Gummies

I saved the best for last! I'm obsessed with these Vitamin C Gummies-- they are SO good, haha. They're an easy way to get some extra Vitamin C in everyday + taste like candy. I'm sure there are some healthier versions out there but they keep me motivated enough to take everyday. Win in my book! I'll link them here

Do you like little random hauls like this? Not sure if you all enjoy this kind of stuff too or if it's just me? Let me know! :)
