I‘ve been dealing with some pesky, red bumps around my eyes lately. Any type of irritation or skin issues can be extremely frustrating to deal with (and get rid of) so I've been very selective with the products I'm using. For now, I've cut out my regular skincare products for simple + gentle alternatives. I figured going back to the “basics” and using less products overall would help to remove anything causing the irritation and/or clear it up. With what I'm pretty sure is dermatitis (thanks Google!) causing the bumps + being a little extra dry from the Winter weather, switching to these has helped a TON. Everything has been super gentle and has soothed the irritation + bumps dramatically! Whether you’re also having some skin issues (always be sure to check with a dermatologist first before using/treating) or just wanting some good moisturizing products, keep reading to see what's been working for me. I'll also link it all too if you want to do some research or buy.
+ Vaseline - Vaseline is one of those old, tried and true products that just works. I’ve been using it on top of the aloe and on my nose + lips. They were drying out like crazy from the cold weather so I needed something heavy duty and the vaseline did the trick! It's also very affordable— I bought this size for under $2.
+ Hyaluronic Acid Lip Balm - I’ve also been using this lip balm at night which is great. It’s not as heavy as the Vaseline, but it gives great moisture and has hyaluronic acid and shea butter. It feels great on the lips too! You can purchase it here.
+ NĂ©cessaire The Hand Cream - If you have dry hands, this hand cream is so good. It’s full of peptides and vitamins that are great for your skin and really add moisture. My favorite thing is that it blends + absorbs quickly and there isn’t a greasy residue. It’s a little pricey but a little goes a long way.
