Hi you guys and Happy Thanksgiving eve! Us retail workers are officially in the rat race that is Black Friday week. So far we're still moovin' and groovin' over here! Ya'll holding up ok?? If you've ever worked in retail/customer service, ya'll know what's up. Everyday is a new adventure, especially during the holiday season. Right now I'm still feeling pretty good, more so than in prior years. Usually I start to lose my sh*t leading up to this point which turns into a downward spiral after Black Friday weekend is over, lol. Perhaps my retail experience is finally paying off and I'm gaining some new wisdom and discernment after all these years??? I'm feeling very go with the flow these days but I'll report back to you on Monday... ya'll pray for me!
Despite the crazy shenans, I'm always very grateful to be in the position to lose my sh*t, lol. 😜 That usually translates to things being busy and having lots to get done which is absolutely a blessing. Making jokes keeps things fun (and is probably a coping mechanism for the stress, LOL), but I live for the anticipation of the weekend. Thanksgiving is also the perfect time for a little positive mojo and gratitude! You can always choose to look at both the good or the bad out of anything in life. We all face adversities but in my experience, it's a lot more fun and effective to focus on the good. Sometimes that's hard to do but more often than not, it works out in your favor and you feel better too.
Alright, the real reason ya'll are here- time to talk pie. Crumbl brought pie week back for Thanksgiving which felt like the perfect opportunity for a little pre-thanksgiving pie try. I loved the Oreo pie last year which was a major motivator behind getting the pies again this year, lol. They changed the lineup a bit to the following: Brookie, Cookies & Cream, French Silk, Biscoff, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Pumpkin Cream & Raspberry Cream. I like these choices! I almost went for all of them but because I plan to eat my weight in pecan pie this weekend, I dialed it back to just four. It's giving discipline! 😁
This time I chose Cookies & Cream again, French Silk, Biscoff and Chocolate Peanut Butter. They're all way too delicious, I enjoyed every single one and have zero complaints. I tried the Chocolate Peanut Butter last year too and remember it being very salty. This year I feel like it was much better- just a hint of saltiness. I love the light texture of the French Silk and if you like Biscoff- this one is super rich and decadent. The Cookies & Cream was just as yummy this year and is also very light and whippy!
I hope you have lots of delicious food tomorrow and get to enjoy the holiday with loved ones. Wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving- I'm thankful for you! -- xx.
