WEEKLY CRUMBL | 2.24.25

My sister broke the Crumbl Cookies hiatus we've been on this past weekend so we’re kicking today off with a little Monday Crumbl review. Last week’s lineup was too good to miss and after some back and forth debating on which flavors to pick, I convinced her to just get them all 😉☺️

Said line-up included: Tres Leches Cake, Key Lime Pie Cookie, Wafer ft. Kit Kat, Iced Oatmeal, Chocolate Cake Batter and Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie.

Ya’ll already know I was too excited for the peanut butter pie which ended up being my number one this week! I'm actually a little surprised because more often than not, the peanut butter flavors end up disappointing me, LOL. This one was so yummy with a great flavor. As far as peanut butter pies go, it was a bit more on the salty side than sweet with Reeses mixed in/on top. The entire vibe gave Reese to me and was delish- would totally get this one again. My next favorite was a repeat offender that I love- Iced Oatmeal. This one is sooooooo good. Everything from the oatmeal flavor to the texture is perfect. The icing on top adds that hint of sweetness and despite being a more "basic" flavor, it's far from it.

My pleasant surprise of this week was Chocolate Cake Batter. I'm very iffy with the chocolate flavors at Crumbl... more often than not, they're a bit too bitter for my taste. While still very rich and fudgy, this one was surprisingly so yummy. I liked the flavor of both the cookie + frosting. The texture reminded me of an iced brownie and the cake batter bites definitely added some gooey texture. Very good, even better the next day!

I don't think I ever updated ya'll on Tres Leches... when I first tried it last time, I wasn't a fan. I thought the texture was way too mushy and wet- probably because when I tried it, the cake was just sitting in a layer of milk. I ended up trying it again a day or two later after and enjoyed it more the second time. I think some of the liquid had absorbed and while that really makes zero sense for why it would be better- somehow it was?? Lol, maybe I just knew what to expect and wasn't as thrown off. Who knows! I tried it again this week and I'll switch it into my "decent" category. I do like the flavor but it's super sweet- I definitely couldn't eat more than a few bites at once. I also don't think I'd go out of my way to get it like my sister does (it's her all time fave), but I'd have a bite here and there of hers, hehe. I'm more of a regular cake gal but it's a fun change of pace.

Also in the decent category this week is Wafer ft. Kit Kat. I would say my expectations and thoughts on this one matched pretty evenly. I'm not a big Kit Kat gal but I liked the crunch factor of the wafer + the Kit Kat pieces on top. It was similar to the regular Crumbl chocolate chip but with Kit Kat added. Not outstanding for me but not bad.

Alright and on to the last, the Key Lime Pie Cookie. I'm sad to say this was my least favorite- I had high hopes! I love love loveeeee a good Key Lime pie. It's definitely in my top ten favorite desserts which is why this one was probably a let down for me. Most of that comes from the cookie base- I don't think you can have the same 10/10 experience of a key lime pie without a graham cracker crust. While the cookie was made to be graham cracker flavored, it just didn't come close to the real deal. The texture and flavor were off for me and it gave a softer, more stale vibe than you get from crust. Idk how to explain that- I'm being a total hater right now but I'm just picky with the key lime ya'll. The filling had potential- the flavor was there but on the subtle side. It needed a bit more zing for my personal liking. Definitely very cute though and I like the lime garnish on top!

Alright, that's my tea on last week's Crumbl cookies. Here's to going back into what will hopefully be another long hiatus because I'm trying to get it right get it tight!
