WEEKLY TO-DO LIST | FEB 1 - FEB 7

It's the start of a new week which for me means new goals + objectives. I think creating a list of some key to-dos can help to organize your thoughts and prioritize your time. Something I always run into is wanting to do a million different things at once. I end up getting overwhelmed which usually results in me doing nothing + feeling even more stressed out about what I didn't accomplish. I'm trying to slowly work on being more intentional and consistent. I created a weekly to-do list with a few tasks I'd like to knock out this week that I'll feel good about if I complete them. Some of these may seem super simple but are things I find myself having to prioritize or push myself to do. I kept the list short to be both realistic and *hopefully* doable throughout this week!

MY WEEKLY TO-DO LIST

  • WASH BEDDING + CHANGE SHEETS - To some of you this might be the easiest thing in the world but I HATE changing out the sheets on my bed. I absolutely love getting into freshly washed and changed sheets (seriously the best night's sleep ever) but the process of getting there is SO tedious to me. My issue isn't with taking the sheets off or washing them, it's having to put them back on the bed. I push this off more than I care to admit so I'm adding it to the list! (PS-- these sheets are currently on my bed + my fave for cooler months).
  • CREATE FEBRUARY BUDGET - I started officially budgeting my money in January (for more info, see my 2021 Money Moves post here). I'm new to the process of using a budget book so I'm still learning + figuring out what works for me. This week I need to close out my January budget + start on February.
  • CATCH UP ON READING - I use to be an avid reader but it's something I really struggle to prioritize now. I enjoy it but find myself pushing it off to do other things. In January, I started reading Daring Greatly by Brene Brown. It's a self-help/personal growth book I've been enjoying, however I've had to read it in small doses. It focuses on the topic of vulnerability and shame which are sometimes heavy to examine and process. In a perfect world I would have loved to finish this in January, however I probably wouldn't be putting it on this list if I had! I'd like to knock out a few more chapters this week.
  • PLAN OUT + WRITE BLOG CONTENT - Blogging is something I really enjoy doing but is another area I struggle to be consistent with. I have been challenging myself to post three times a week and be more active on Instagram (come hang with me @TheKristenDiary)! I've found planning out + working on ideas ahead of time to be extremely helpful. Hoping I can get this week's posts up + start working on next weeks!
  • USE MY SILK PILLOWCASE/SCRUNCHIES - This one is so so random and kind of embarrassing. A few years ago, I purchased a Slip Silk Pillowcase + the matching eye mask. Since then, I've also bought the matching scrunchies. They're suppose to help your hair + skin with breakage, wrinkles, etc. After owning these for close to what has probably been two years, I have never used them. They are still sealed in the packaging! For the longest time, I procrastinated trying them out because I needed to buy their special silk detergent to wash them first... ðŸ¤¦‍♀️ My amazing sister then bought it for me for Christmas LAST YEAR (2019 last year, not 2020) and they are still in the boxes. My current excuse is "I need to wash them in the sink so I'll have to clean the sink first, then I can wash them." It's definitely an issue, you guys. I've been guilty of doing this with lots of other things (makeup, books I've never read, etc.). I'm working on being more intentional + trying to use what I have and buy. I'm hoping that by including this, I'll be motivated to do it this week. We shall see... maybe I will share with you on my IG stories!

Here's to what will hopefully be a very productive but stress-free week. Let me know if you like these types of posts + whether I should do more. Also does anyone out there actually enjoy putting the sheets back on the bed? Comment below!

xx,

Kristen
