NEW NETFLIX CHRISTMAS MOVIE RELEASES

Now that it's mid-November and we're in the heart of the holiday season, I'm ready to start binge-watching all things holiday. I live for the cheesy, Hallmark-esque movies that come out on Netflix every year! Cute, lighthearted cheesy romance is always welcome in my book during the holidays. This year Netflix has released some really cute ones I've added to my list + can't wait to watch. I also noticed that some of the new releases are actual Hallmark movies, too! I don't have the Hallmark channel so I'm excited to be able to watch some of those too. Here's what's on my list so far:

2024 NETFLIX CHRISTMAS MOVIE RELEASES

+ Meet Me Next Christmas

+ Our Little Secret

+ Hot Frosty

+ Fall Into Winter

+ A Paris Christmas Waltz

+ Christmas Island

+ Christmas in Notting Hill

+ A Heidelberg Holiday

These are the top movies on my list so far... I also saw a new season of The Great British Baking Show: Holidays is out too which I always love to watch. For the movies, I'm the most excited for Our Little Secret which comes out at the end of this month! I will always be a LiLo fan and I love that she has another Christmas movie out this year. Ezra's also making an appearance too so I have high hopes!

Meet Me Next Christmas has been all the rage on TikTok and for good reason- hi, Christina Milian!! I use to love her back in the day. Hot Frosty also looks cute with Lacey Chabert- her Christmas movies are some of my favorites. I was hoping for another Vanessa Hudgens feature too but I haven't seen anything new with her this year. I'll keep you posted on which ones are worth watching!

MY NETFLIX HOLIDAY WATCH LIST

Netflix-Christmas-2022-The-Kristen-Diary-blog

Christmas on Netflix begins! You know I'm a sucker for all of the cutesy holiday movies on Netflix. It's definitely the new Hallmark channel, right? I browsed through this year's Christmas section and picked out the ones I want to start watching this month. Most of these are new releases, however I Here are my top five:

+ Falling for Christmas - LiLo is back! When I saw she had a Netflix movie coming out, I was sold. I've loved her since The Parent Trap days growing up. She's also a fellow redhead which we always support. The movie follows her character as an engaged heiress who gets into a skiing accident which results in memory loss. In typical fashion, she ends up in the company of a "handsome cabin owner." Thank you, Google. I think we know how this one ends! Can't wait to dive in.

+ Christmas With You - Freddie Prince Jr. sold me on this one... did anyone NOT love She's All That growing up? Total classic. I'm loving some of the older stars making a reappearance. I also love how Christmas With You has another very cliche plot. Angelina is a famous singer who escapes the big city to a small town. While there, she finds romance and a new spark in her career.

+ The Great British Baking Show: Holidays - My FAVEEEEEE. Love love love The Great British Baking Show. Seriously so so good. I've watched almost the entire series and the special holiday episodes are always great. Can't wait to watch this years! I also need to go back + catch up on the current new season.

+ The Noel Diary - This one follows a male protagonist who returns home to settle his mother's estate. He discovers a diary with "secrets of the past." This one sounds interesting and a little unconventional in the holiday movie landscape. I didn't catch the trailer so I'm not sure whether this ties in a romance, mystery, etc. Will keep you updated after I watch.

+ Home for Christmas - I have no idea how I missed this one! I'm excited because it's a holiday tv show but it came out in 2019. Seriously no clue. I never remember seeing it before. It's a 2-season series that follows Johanne. She's been "perpetually single" and starts a 24 day hunt to find a boyfriend to take home for Christmas. Sounds fun and lighthearted!

MOST ANTICIPATED 2021 NETFLIX CHRISTMAS MOVIE RELEASES

Along with new The Great British Baking Show: Holidays episodes, I can't wait for this year's Christmas movie releases on Netflix! Watching Christmas movies is always at the top of my holiday bucket list. I originally planned to share a list with all of my Netflix Christmas favorites, however I quickly realized there are still A LOT that I haven't seen yet. I will have to start binge watching everything for that one! Until then, here are my top picks from this year's new releases. Now that Thanksgiving is coming up, it's the perfect time to start marathoning! Do you usually jump into the holidays before or after Thanksgiving? I don't know if I'll get my decorating started before but I'm ready for it now!

MOST ANTICIPATED 2021 NETFLIX CHRISTMAS MOVIE RELEASES

+ The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star - Very happy that they decided to continue The Princess Switch movies this year. I love all of the Christmas movies with Vanessa Hudgens and the first two in this series were cute. If you haven't watched any of them, imagine the Netflix Christmas version of The Parent Trap. It's a cute story with friendship + romance thrown in.

+ Love Hard - I had no idea Nina Dobrev joined the Netflix gang until seeing the preview for Love Hard. Her character keeps striking out with the online dating game only to finally find someone who she thinks is the perfect guy. She decides to surprise visit him for the holidays only to get catfished yet again! Before leaving town, she learns THE guy in the online dating profile really exists and lives in the same town as catfishing guy. Catfishing guy then agrees to hook the two of them up (duh!) in what I am confident will be the perfect holiday rom-com we all want!

+ A Castle for Christmas - This one is the most "Netflixy Christmas" movie out of the bunch. From watching the preview, it is The Holiday meets Scotland. Brooke Shield's character is a successful author whose latest book release flops and receives immense criticism. Naturally, she runs off to Scotland to escape for the Christmas holiday and meets an ill-tempered man. It's a classic "enemies to lovers" theme which we love! I'm already expecting ALL of the cheesiness but I'm here for it! PSA-- The Holiday is also still on Netflix!

+ A Boy Called Christmas - Alright, I have to give Netflix major props on A Boy Called Christmas. This one looks SO GOOD and will be a great pick to watch with family. It follows a young boy, his pet mouse and Blitzen the reindeer on an adventure to find his father. The trailer for this one blew me away--it has that pure, magical feeling of Christmas to it and definitely looks like it's worth a watch.

What's your favorite Christmas movie of all time?? LMK so I can watch it too!
