Happy Memorial Day weekend! First and foremost, I have to express how thankful I am for everyone who has made the ultimate sacrifice to serve and protect our country. While I will be the first to admit that holiday weekends are usually focused on fun, food and family- I think it's important to always reflect on the significance and meaning of why we're honoring or celebrating the day. It's easy to take our freedom for granted when we're wrapped up in our normal day to day lives, however the meaning and importance of every fallen hero, Veteran and current member who serves or has served our country is truly incredible. I'm grateful for you all and the freedom we are afforded everyday in the US-of-A!
Memorial Day weekend usually consists of hot weather, grilling out and lots of sales. Of course you can always find something on sale somewhere, however the Memorial Day weekend ones tend to be just a littttlleee bit better. Maybe not as good as Black Friday, but close. I also think there's something about a holiday weekend that just makes me want to spend more money... I can't figure out if it's the sale or if that's why there are sales? There's definitely some kind of consumeristic manipulation going on here, lol. We've all probably been brain-washed at some point!
