Welcome back to another "healthyish" grocery haul. The never-ending cycle of trying to eat easy, healthier meals at home continues. I've been MAJOR slacking lately so we're trying again today, lol. I have to have faith that one day I'll just finally figure it out + make it work. I'm sure part of it is my own mental block or excuses (we love a self-aware Queen, right??), but ya'll sometimes it's just easier and more convenient to eat out when you're busy. Nowadays, the cost gap between eating healthier at home vs. healthier out when you're cooking for one seems to be getting smaller too.

This week I ended up at Publix because they had a ton of stuff on BOGO that I like + I had a few coupons too. I try to be intentional with what I buy and like to purchase healthier options when I can. That can definitely add up fast so I'm all about a deal and any extra savings. Some items I picked up I don't plan to use this week, however I will try to stock up on things I like if there's a good deal. It also gives me an excuse to grab some guilty pleasure items too like the cookie dough + hotdogs! Now that it's almost summer, makes me want a hotdog real bad! ðŸ˜‰

Starting with breakfast- I try to keep things as simple as possible. Typically that is some variation of eggs + meat + the optional bread or yogurt. Normally I'll buy pre-cooked turkey sausage, however Publix doesn't sell it so I picked up the Greenfield Diced Ham to try this week. I love to put ham in omelettes or breakfast pockets and this one has cleaner ingredients than the one I normally buy. I also recently tried their bacon and it was really good! The Rustik Oven Sourdough is also my favorite bread too. I like the added benefits + taste.

Sometimes I'll also do yogurt + fruit in the morning, sometimes I like it for lunchtime. The Oikos Triple Zero Greek Yogurt 4-packs were on sale this week so I grabbed a box of Mixed Berry + some organic strawberries. I also stocked up on more MALK Milk because it was BOGO. I like both the Oat + Almond so I grabbed one of each.

For lunch, the plan is teriyaki chicken, garlic green beans + rice. It's your typical protein/grain/veggie combo which will hopefully be simple enough to throw together. I'm not much of a meal prepper at this point so timing is what usually makes it hard for me to commit to lunch at home. I do love these Publix Marinated Teriyaki Chicken Breasts, though. They're ready to go, full of flavor and great for lean protein. Shouldn't be too hard to throw it all together, right?

Everything else is random/for another day because it was too good of a deal to pass up! Anytime I can find the Buitoni pastas or SUJA shots on sale, I consider that a win. I also thought these Outshine Fruit Pops looked really yummy! I've never tried them but they looked like a good summer treat + a little bit healthier than my Ben & Jerry's!
